The Daily Prompt: Plead the Fifth

What question do you hate to be asked? Why?

You can ask me anything according to what I am doing when I am asked. If I am cooking, it is o.k. I can cook and talk and concentrate. If I am deeply engrossed in a book, then I am not so available for studying answers with a great depth and you will only get a yes or no probably. If I am writing a blog, particularly a daily prompt, then forget it. You will be completely ignored.

Of course there are subjects which might annoy me.

“What shall we buy for the week-end meals?” No problem with the question, but if I have no idea, I prefer not to be asked. I am sure the asker has a few brilliant ideas: I even hope that the asker has some brilliant ideas.

One question that I have been asked many times “Why did you go to Switzerland?” I never really knew what to say as an answer and I don’t think I ever will. Perhaps I had restless legs, perhaps London was not my town. I really do not know. I just did it and have never regretted it. So do not bother with that one.

I know one thing, I definitely did not come to Switzerland to enjoy their Winters.

  1. It did occur to me that 'why did you move to Switzerland?' would probably be the question most asked.
