The Daily Feline Prompt: Inside the Feline Bubble

A contagious disease requires you to be put into quarantine for a whole month (don’t worry, you get well by the time you’re free to go!). How would you spend your time in isolation?

Tabby

“Tabby, how come you look all sort of trapped?”

“That’s my bubble, for I, me and myself.”

“Oh, can I have a bubble as well?”

“It depends. It means you will be alone, no-one will come to see you and you will have to do everything yourself.”

“What about food?”

“No problem Fluffy, I have my pawpad and can order food to be delivered.”

“Sounds great, the perfect feline life, but how did it happen?”

“I have a contagious disease.”

“That sounds bad. I don’t think I want a contagious disease. I might have to go the vet.”

“No fluffy, it is a virtual contagious disease. One you get from playing with computers, and it eventually dissolves and goes away. In the meantime I can sleep 23 hours a day, eat half an hour and then search for a place to sleep, as well as having a supply of catnip in case I get bored.  The ideal life.”

“But don’t you have to be careful?”

“Why”

“If you stretch in between sleeping your claws are extended.”

“And`”

“The bubble will burst.”

“I didn’t think of that. In that case let’s do something more interesting like eating and sleeping without a bubble.”

  1. I would contact CERN urgently, it looks like Tabby is being sucked into a wormhole, possibly created by the LHC!!!

    1. Tabby is too clever for that - she just disappears into a different world from time to time.
