It turns out that your feline neighbour is a very, very chatty feline. Do you try to switch seats, go for a non-committal brief small talk, or make this person your new best friend?

“What I was thinking Fluffy, but humans do things like that.”
“Like what Tabby?”
“Make friends, try to be polite, avoid arguments.”
“Not all of them are like that. I heard two humans talking very loudly once.”
“But just once, Fluffy, otherwise they try to be polite, at least some of them do. It is all in the human genes, they can be very unpredictable.”
“Not like us felines, we are very stable and constant. We do not talk to strange felines and they do not talk to us. And what is a best friend Tabby?”
“Doesn’t exist in meow Fluffy. I think it is something to do with sharing and going out together.”
“Oh, I always go out on my own Why should I go out with another feline?”
“There was once a human called Doug Larsen that said “The feline could very well be man’s best friend, but would never stoop to admitting it”, which just about sums it up.”
“Although the fact of the matter is that we do not need a best friend, any definitely not a human.”
“Exactly, we prefer to spend time with intelligent beings, such as felines. The photo tells it all. You can see us both with Mr. Grey.”
“What happened to Mr. Grey Tabby.”
“Who cares, he no longer exists for us.”
