Daily Feline Prompt: Set it to Feline Rights

Think of a time you let something slide, only for it to eat away at you later. Tell us how you’d fix it today.

The chicken moved as I took the photo

“Those roosters just don't have any respect for us felines today. Did you see what he did?”

“Yes Tabby, should be ashamed of himself, although I must say he has definitely spoilt my appetite for a chicken feast.”

“Of course I did, do you think I want to meet my end in a feline digestive system?”

“Ok rooster, stop showing off, our appetite for chicken is now spoilt. We will stick to the chicken flavoured pellets, much more aesthetic.”

“No problem as far as I am concerned. It is my job to make sure that my harem lay enough eggs to go round.”

“We don’t eat eggs rooster, but if you have a harem, then you perhaps might have a nice tasty female chicken to spare.”

“Definitely not, paws off my wives, they are my pride and joy. I counted one hundred eggs so far this week and there will be more. My children are many. There they go with their mothers, one after the other.”

“Yes rooster, they do look quite tasty.”

“Tabby do you think they will miss a couple if we pounce.”

“I don’t think so Fluffy.”

“I heard that felines and I know each and everyone of my offspring. They are not tasty, they have a purpose in their lives. Some will grow to be roosters like me and others will lay eggs. Cock-a-doodle-do.”

“Ouch, my ears, that was nowhere near as sweet as a soft meow.”

“Cock-a-doodle-do.”

“OK, point taken. Chickens should be seen and not heard, right Fluffy.”

“Yes Tabby definitely, but I would mind a nice tasty chicken breast for dinner.”
