Cute, cuddly and intelligent are the three words which are often used to describe tabby cats. These cats are found in a variety of sizes and colors. The eye color also varies with the breed. However, they do have one thing in common - a distinct M shaped mark on their forehead. It is their distinguishing feature giving them a unique look.
“I don’t do books, they are not very paw friendly. I had to use my pawpad to discover something to read and then I found the ideal description of me. I was going to quote something from the Egyptian Book of the Dead about Bastet, but realised that she could be quite morbid.
Am I cute, cuddly, intelligent?”
“Is that a question or a statement Tabby?”
“Mrs. Human this is something between my WordPress followers and me. Of course I am cute. When I pounce on your bed after lunch when you have your golden oldie sleep you realise how cute I can be. I like to make my neading movements with my paws to help us both relax and spread my scent all over your hands with my nose.”
“It is a matter of interpretation Tabby. Your neading movements are usually combined with protruding claws and that is a little annoying when I am trying to sleep. It is not very relaxing being scratched and your nose is damp.”
“But I am cuddly when I want to be Mrs. Human.”
“I never know when you want to be cuddly.”
“You don’t have to know, you have to feel it. I enjoy a nice tummy tickle now and again.”
“I noticed, but I don’t always have the time for a thirty minute tummy tickle.”
“Typical human, stressing around all the time, never taking it easy. We felines take our time, relax and enjoy it.”
“I noticed Tabby, but a twelve hour sleep during the day is not something I have time for.”
“You must admit I am intelligent. I recognise a plate of tuna fish by its smell, I know when Roschti, the invading feline from next door it walking on my territory…”
“And you know when to run away when he raises his paw with claws outstretched.”
“You see, that is being intelligent, otherwise you would have a mess in the garden when we would fight. And don’t forget the “M” on my forehead, you can see it very well on the photo. That is a mark to be recognised and has a meaning.”
“I am still not sure of the meaning Tabby.”
“That is quite clear. We get a free Big Mac hamburger when we enter a Macdonalds.”

DeleteMinx is driving me nuts right now, trying to check my mail and she is on the desk right in front of me wanting smooches. She even comes to get me when it is bedtime and I am running late. Wouldn't be without her though. lol
