Photographers, artists, poets: show us LUXURY.
A view of my village
Is it not luxury to live where there are
no wars
To wake up in a bed
To wake up in a bed
Not fleeing from your neighbour or a soldier
You have a washing machine
You have a car
You have food on the table
But this is nothing when war is on the streets
When there is no security
There are no cars but tanks
Soldiers patrolling
Controlling everyone and everything
People eating grass
Children dying before they know what a mother is
And we ask what luxury you cannot live without?
Define luxury and I will tell you which one I do not need
Very well said!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to live in your village if it as peaceful as it looks. Beautiful photo Pat and like your poem very much.
