Switzerland seems to be the land of farmhouses in picturesque surroundings. I took this picture of a "charming" old farmhouse in the village of Wangen an der Aare about 15 minutes by car from the village where I live. Probably it was once surrounded by its own farmlands, but over the years the village got larger and it now occupies a place of its own in one of the village streets. The old watering trough is still there, used for the animals.
