Daily Feline Prompt: Eat, drink and be what?

…for tomorrow we die. The world is ending tomorrow! Tell us about your last dinner — the food, your dining companions, the setting, the conversation.

“Something is wrong Tabby. Mrs. Human forgot to open the tins of tuna fish.”

“I don’t think so Fluffy, just be a little patient. She has only just taken them from her shopping bag and I don’t think the will be served now.”

“But tomorrow we all go to the eternal corn chambers the prompt says and so we have to eat everything we can.”

“Fluffy we eat everything we can every day, so what’s the hurry.”

“But tomorrow we will not be here says the prompt.”

“It’s all a hoax, don’t believe them, they just want us to write all about it.”

“You mean there will not be a last dinner? I was thinking fresh mouse liver, tuna fish cocktail and perhaps salmon garnished with chopped chives.”

“Chopped chives? We are carnivores Fluffy, we do not eat chopped chives, that is human, although I don’t mind a pinch of tarragon now and again and a side plate with potato chips.”

“You see Tabby, even you have your have your preferences. We could wash it all down with a dish of water grand cru 2015 from the last rainfall, or from Mrs. Human’s recycling tray. They constantly  refresh the water.”

“Good idea Fluffy. As a desert I think I would like some whipped cream with ice cream in lapping portions.”

“Oh yes although I am also partial to yogurt mixed with butterfly wings. You know you eat with the eyes Tabby, after all I am a gourmet.”

“So come on felines, time for food. Look two nice dishes of vitamin filled pellets. That will do you good.”

“Did someone say something Tabby?”

“Yes, Mrs. Human got all enthusiastic about our evening meal, but she cannot help it. Humans do not have the master chef touch like we feline gourmets.”
