What do you love most about the city / town / place that you own? What do you like the least about it? We are in charge.
“I suppose the answer is that it all belongs to us.”
“Yes, of course Tabby. We built this place on furballs, meows and according to the laws of Bastet.”
“Although there are sometimes unwanted intruders, like those two dogs. I remember that day well. There we were minding our own feline business, having fun watching the birds in the trees, eating the odd butterfly that fluttered past and then they were two of them. No respect for our territory, sniffing all over the place and to add insult to injury, Mrs. Human was taking photos of the invasion.”
“And they were barking, making a noise, my whiskers were standing on end.”
“Then it is agreed dogs are to be banned from our city.”
“Perhaps we could make a couple of exceptions Tabby?”
“You think so?”
“Yes that nice lady that lives over the pond with her big dogs. One of them, Dusty, even has an online conversation with us.”
“No problem Fluffy, that is the advantage of this online stuff. We can have nice civil conversations at long distance with dogs, but they are at paw’s distance, so we will keep it that way.”
“Apart from the dog problem I would say that we also have a feline problem.”
“You mean Roschti? He seems to be behaving at the moment. Yesterday he was sitting on the edge of our territory and didn’t dare to enter. I think we have made a meow point. He fears us and respects us.”
“Are you sure Tabby? I thought it was because Mrs. Human came out of our home and told him to go away in a strong voice.”
“I didn’t notice Fluffy, are you sure.”
“Yes, I am actually.”
“Let’s change the subject. There is still the part about what we like most of all.”
“That is fairly obvious Tabby. Lots of birds that Mrs. Human feeds to make sure they keep coming, mice in the fields and sometimes in the garden cupboard if we are lucky, butterflies in Summer and above all…..”
