WordPress Daily Prompt: Predictions

There are 344 days remaining in the year. Describe what you’d like to be doing on day 211. (Hint: that’s July 30th.)

Photographers, artists, poets: show us the FUTURE.

Blackberries

One thing is certain that the blackberries will be growing, although no longer in my garden. I took this photo a couple of years ago before clearing the berry plants away. They were slowly but surely taking over the garden.

Otherwise I have absolutely no idea what I will be doing on 30th July and to be quite honest I have no interest in knowing what I will then be doing and I do not care. I have no longed for wishes to be doing anything constructive on that day. Perhaps I will be celebrating one of my longed for literature prizes. I had a look and discovered it will be Thursday. Thursday is generally the day when I clean the kitchen, cook spaghetti or rösti, but as this will be during the so-called Summer holiday time I might be somewhere else, although every day is a holiday since being retired.

“Think about the future”
“Are you kidding I am too old”
“Come on just for WordPress
Coat your prompt with a little gold”
“I might be kicking daises
from a deeper place than here
Or perhaps I am tanking sun
And sipping on a nice cold beer
This is stupid, this is ridiculous
Do you really want to read these words?
A waste of my time and yours
I think I will feed the birds."

So that’s all folks for today, I am really out of ideas for this stupid prompt. Ask me something with a little intelligence attached. It can even being with “Tell us about the time when you robbed a bank or something similar”. Now that would be a good start to a blog or……

“The computer was shedding light on the surroundings, it was breathing, its fans cooling the inside coils and circuits. There was a half empty glass of water on the desk and a half eaten doughnut lying next to the mouse pad. The blogger was slumped in the chair, a hand stretched towards the keyboard, and a finger resting on the letter “z”. A glance at the screen did not show a “z”, it was a blank black screen, a screen of death, until a white sign began to creep across the terminal as if guided by an invisible hand. Yes, the death of a blogger left many open questions." TO BE CONTINUED ON 31ST JULY 2015 (perhaps).

  1. Well, as it falls on a Wednesday, and isn't during a period where I have booked leave, I'm assuming I'll be at work!!
