WordPress Daily Prompt: A Brand New You, Effective Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the first day of a brand new year. Tomorrow you get to become anyone in the world that you wish. Who are you? You can choose to by anyone, alive today or someone gone long ago. If you decide to stay “you” share your rationale.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us METAMORPHOSIS.

My new action photo, taken in the kitchen by No. 2 son and now in a happy new year frame of mind. Actually Mr. Swiss was on the edge of the photo, but he wishes to remain anonymous.

OK fellow victims in the blogging sense of the word, we now have a year of blogs behind us, searching every day for something new and imposing to write for a daily prompt. Did we find it – of course we did. Although as you all may know, I am still searching for a mentor, a contract, a prize to crown my success in Word Press. Perhaps this is the positive side of things, if I had achieved my deserved recognition I may no longer be here, moving on to pastures of 50 shades of anything that would pay and recognise my talents and I might would be missed.

So now you know who I want to be tomorrow, The Blogger. In the meanwhile I will continue my blogging episodes wrapping you all in thoughts “what will she write next”. If you are one of my disciples, followers, I am sure you have all set your alarm clocks to register the time of the e-mail arrival informing that she has done it again, waiting impatiently for the notification of my new words of blog wisdom.

Will I metamorphise tonight? Will I retire to my bed and awake tomorrow morning fixed on my back in bed, no longer being able to rise? Memories of Gregor Samsa come to my mind in Franz Kafka book Metamorposis when he awoke one morning changed into a beetle-like creature complete with six legs. He had a problem to turn as his back had become an armoured heavy surface during the night. Gradually he was ignored by his family and left to dwindle away – who needs a humanoid beetle in the family. No-one wanted him; he was not like the others.

There is actually no-one I would like to become, I am unique, I, me and myself. If I was someone else, who would tend to the needs of my felines, they would sit impatiently waiting for a dish to be filled with tuna fish, or vitamin rich pellets and nothing arrives. Who would spend many happy hours in the kitchen composing a new five star menu for my tribe, although Mr. Swiss can make a very good apple flan. He is also quite professional with the use of the vacuum cleaner and his ironing talents are perfect. Am I slowly becoming superfluous? Mr. Swiss and I have braved many New Years together, something like 46, so what could possibly happen?

And now I will take my leave and once again wish you all the best for the new year, may it be filled with blogging inspiration and if you remain as you are until tomorrow, then the magic WordPress daily prompt spell will again be overcome.
