WordPress Daily Prompt: VIP

Who's the most important person in your life? And how would your day-to-day existence be without them?

Near forty-five years ago I got married. I did not get married, just for the sake of it, I got married to a partner, someone who has been with me for many years. We have been through thick and thin together and two sons later I would say I am still prepared to stay and so is he. I even learnt his language.

In this case the question is a little strange. Of course my husband is the most important, but nothing  is forever. One day either he or myself will be alone, that’s life, or was life. So we continue. My father is now 97 years old, my mother died some 25 years ago, but his life went on. He had to conquer a lot of loneliness. He had to learn how to cook, look after himself, but that is not so important because we can do it.

Of course my day to day existence would be different without my husband, but I will survive and he will say the same. We do no cling to each other all day long. He has his interests and I have mine. I think loneliness is the main problem we would both have.

This is going to be a short daily prompt, as I do not have very much more to say.

  2. I think you've pretty much summed up things in the same way that I would. There are a couple of very important people in my life, Joanne, of course, and my mom. I would miss either of them very much if I lost either of them. But I would still have to go on living, that's all you can do.
