Behind closed doors
There is music, singing, laughing
A birthday party, a wedding
The doors are closed
No unwelcome visitors
Behind closed doors
The president is concentrating
What shall I do to make everyone
vote for me?
Tell them they will be getting free
medical treatment
But do not tell them their taxes will be
raised
Behind closed doors,
Mary is crying
Joe has found another and is leaving
She does not want him to go
She feels unwanted and unloved
Behind closed doors
The party is over
The food tasted funny
and everyone was taken to hospital with
food poisoning
Behind closed doors
The president changed his mind
No free medical treatment
But be honest and tell them that the
taxes will be increased
After the elections of course
Behind closed doors
Mary and Joe were sitting together
Drinking their last glass of wine before
Joe left
Joe left but not to where he thought
Mary had put poison in his glass
And Joe was in another world
The things that happen behind closed
doors
