I was an export clerk and at the beginning looked after everything from A to B, making an offer, processing the order and deciding how to deliver and dealing with the financial side of things. Eventually it was a conveyer belt thing. One department did this, the other did that. The only responsibility I kept was dealing with the Letters of Credit as they were mostly in english and no-one really understood it all. One mistake and you have problems getting the money, especially from the far and middle east. Yes, those were the days.Pat Gerber-Relfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00309477888996997341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329843425686686021.post-81728235100812174952016-01-18T18:44:18.719+01:002016-01-18T18:44:18.719+01:00Looking back on 2015, I am amazed my brain did not...Looking back on 2015, I am amazed my brain did not explode. In the space of 12 months the type of work I do changed three times...and not just a little but completely!! Three lots of training (although the word training is stretching credulity somewhat) and three lots of learning on the job, which I find much better. Because I was so good at the second type of work, particularly, I am now not only clearing cases for the newest work, but also clearing cases remaining from the previous (second) type of work!!!MitchyLRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11423634734890422795noreply@blogger.com
