They have a tendency to try to invade her house when the weather turns colder. Not sure if we get them here in the UK. If we do, I've yet to encounter one. We also get green ones and they can be quite big.Pat Gerber-Relfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00309477888996997341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329843425686686021.post-15818176017561664092013-10-14T19:35:51.580+02:002013-10-14T19:35:51.580+02:00I think it is known as a sloe in english or shield...I think it is known as a sloe in english or shieldbug. Careful when handling, they are also known as stink bugs in german for a good reason.

I got the Kafka tick from Mr. Swiss, although it belongs to the normal reading lecture in german high school and I remember my schoolfriend in England having to read Kafka for her German GCE advanced level. One of the greats, but to enjoy with care. I sometimes have a sneaky feeling, that Kafka was not sure which direction he was going in, but he is one of the greats in the German world of literature.Pat Gerber-Relfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00309477888996997341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329843425686686021.post-80073843697720431882013-10-14T18:52:33.902+02:002013-10-14T18:52:33.902+02:00I've never read Kafka, he's not an author ...I've never read Kafka, he's not an author who ever crossed my literary radar. He work certainly sounds interesting though. I do like the unusual.

Talking of unusual....I'm fascinated by your insect friend in the photo. I've never seen one quite like that. Are they common there?MitchyLRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11423634734890422795noreply@blogger.com
